Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam has launched the coaching program Ignite at FPT Software, providing qualified coaches for each FPT Software participant for four months.
The two companies are working together to enhance their Diversity and Inclusion agenda as well as empower female participation in technology. FPT Software participants will be encouraged over the next four months to expand their personal and professional horizons with their coach. The kick-off event took place on October 27 and attracted 20 FPT Software employees.
Ignite is a team of over 190 qualified executive coaches formally trained by organizations aligned with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The coaches span 30 countries and territories and work in various roles at Standard Chartered Bank. The program has been developed to support female colleagues as they progress in their careers.
Coaches invest personal time volunteering and coaching colleagues who are ready to change, challenge, and stretch themselves to improve their performance. The program creates an environment where individuals can explore their potential, discover new levels of performance, and experience a feeling of community. The bank aims to unleash and nurture the potential of all its employees, clients, and communities.
According to Ms. Michele Wee, CEO of Standard Chartered Vietnam, establishing a coaching culture will enable inclusive organizations that help bring out the best of each individual to accelerate performance, innovation, and happiness.
“We are proud to partner with FPT Software and offer this coaching program and continue our commitment to work for a sustainable Vietnam,” she said. “This is a demonstration of living our brand promise of ‘Here for good’, driving Diversity and Inclusion and helping build resilience in the community.”
In addition, Mr. Tran Duc Long, Head of the Corporate Training Center at FPT Software, said it utilizes the coaching model through the program and helps employees realize their hidden potential and expand their capacity through Ignite. “We are also pushing forward with the application of this model throughout FPT Software,” he said.
