State Audit reveals 2023 audit plan

Eleven ministries and 33 cities and provinces the subject of 129 audits in total next year under State Audit of Vietnam plan.

State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) will focus in 2023 on auditing major issues relating to State budget management and use, key areas that are prone to negativity, corruption, and waste, and problems of public concern.

Under the 2023 audit plan, it will conduct 129 audits at eleven ministries and 33 cities and provinces.

SAV will audit the State budget settlement reports of 16 ministries, sectors, and agencies, and the local budget settlement reports of 33 localities.

It will conduct 23 specialized audits, including those on establishing and earmarking investment capital for socioeconomic recovery and development programs or providing accommodation support to workers at industrial parks, export processing zones, and key economic areas.

Regarding construction investment, it will carry out 28 audits, focusing on key projects such as the eastern North-South Expressway, the first phase of Long Thanh International Airport in southern Dong Nai province, and interregional transport projects.

SAV will also carry out 16 audits at businesses and banking and financial institutions such as the State Bank of Vietnam, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the Bao Viet Corporation, the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group, and the Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade. Audits will focus on financial reports and activities relating to the management and use of State capital and assets in 2022.
