Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision establishing a State Council to appraise the feasibility study for a project to build the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section of the west North - South Expressway
The project is designed to have a total length of nearly 129 km, passing through Binh Phuoc for 101 km and the central highlands’ Dak Nong province for 27.8 km.
It will be invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) with estimated investment of nearly VND25.9 trillion ($1.09 billion), including more than VND16 trillion ($672 million) for construction and around VND4.6 trillion ($195 million) for site clearance.
Some VND9.98 trillion ($419 million) will be earmarked from the State budget and VND4 trillion ($169 million) from the provincial budget. The remainder will be mobilized from investors.
The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section is part of the west North - South Expressway project, which was approved by the Prime Minister as part of the Vietnam Road Network Development Plan for 2021-2030 and vision towards 2050.
