Ho Chi Minh City has established a steering committee for developing the tourism sector in Can Gio district.

It will be led by Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Phan Van Mai.

The committee will propose solutions, mechanisms, and policies on tourism development and image promotion, contributing to boosting economic growth in the district.

It will also direct and coordinate with relevant agencies and the Can Gio District People’s Committee on building and implementing tourism development programs for each period in line with Ho Chi Minh City’s socio-economic development targets.

The committee is responsible for proposing solutions to address obstacles relating to State policies and laws on tourism development, and will consult with authorities in Can Gio district to develop policies and mechanisms to promote the local tourism industry.
