Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision establishing a steering committee on building a master plan on a regional and international financial center in Vietnam.
The committee will be responsible for studying and proposing to the Prime Minister orientations and solutions to build the master plan and assist the government leader in directing and coordinating relevant ministries and agencies in building the financial center.
It will also chair and organize cooperative activities and consultancy and exchange with domestic and international organizations and agencies on its construction.
The committee is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai while the Minister of Planning and Investment will be the Deputy Head.
Members of the committee will include leaders from the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, Industry and Trade, National Defense, Public Security, Information and Communications, Justice, and Natural Resources and Environment, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Office of the Government, and the People’s Committees of Ho Chi Minh City and central Da Nang city.
