More than 6,000 industry professionals from over 60 countries and territories are expected to attend the Super Terminal Expo 2026, to take place on November 3-5 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong (China), with smart terminal technology, sustainable infrastructure, and advanced air mobility among its key themes. Organized by Informa Markets with Airport Authority Hong Kong as principal partner, the expo will bring together more than 120 global brands and exhibitors and host over 80 conference sessions, according to the organizers, who position the event as a key driver of terminal innovation in Asia-Pacific. The program is built around three pillars: design and development, operations and efficiency, and connectivity and mobility - which the organizers say address the most pressing challenges and opportunities in terminal innovation this year.
Five themes on agenda
Smart terminal technologies are a key focus, with AI-powered automation, biometric systems, and digital transformation tools for terminal operations among the solutions on show.
Sustainability forms a second major strand, covering net-zero carbon terminals, eco-friendly logistics hubs, and green energy integration.
The program also covers advanced air mobility, looking at how urban air mobility, including electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, is being integrated into existing transport networks to improve connectivity. On the passenger side, the focus is on biometric corridors, smart wayfinding systems, and personalized travel experiences, while on the cargo side, attention turns to air cargo handling, digital supply chains, and warehouse automation aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs.
The conference is structured into thematic forums and panels, addressing key challenges and opportunities in terminal operations and development.
Beyond the exhibition floor
Alongside the conference, the organizers will run a customized business matching program, personally inviting key decision-makers from airports, airlines, and cargo operators to pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with exhibitors ahead of the expo.
Participants can also join guided behind-the-scenes tours of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) - described by the organizers as the world’s busiest cargo hub - covering terminal operations, automated cargo handling systems, and live sustainability projects, with commentary from HKIA’s on-site operations team.
Airport Dialogues, meanwhile, offers closed-door, 90-minute roundtables of no more than 15 professionals, bringing together airport planners, operators, consultants, regulators, ground handlers, and airline representatives for facilitated discussion of real challenges and opportunities in airport operations.
The event will also host the annual STE Awards and Gala Dinner, recognizing 15 winners across six categories for breakthrough projects, teams, and leadership in terminal design, operations, and sustainability. The organizers bill the gala as the show’s highest-profile networking occasion, gathering C-level executives and decision-makers from across the global aviation industry.
