Out of a total of nearly VND273 trillion ($11.1 billion) in the medium-term capital plan for the 2021-2025 period, investment for the development of national railway infrastructure stands at more than VND15 trillion ($611 million), or 4.7 per cent.

The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued Decision No. 65/QD-UBND approving the “Establishment of 2-5 new industrial zones in the 2021-2025 period” project. It will cement the tasks required for developing the industrial infrastructure network and also call for enterprises to invest in industrial zones in Hanoi.

Good control over Covid-19 is considered necessary to attract FDI, not only this year but during the entire 2021-2025 period. Total registered FDI reached $16.7 billion in the first seven months of 2021.

The 15th National Assembly (NA) opened its first session in Hanoi on July 20, where it will discuss matters such as personnel work, socio-economic reviews, law and legislation drafting and adjustment, and various directional programs in the 2021-2025 period.
