According to the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tourism in the north-central province has exceeded targets set for 2022. It welcomed over 10.3 million visitors in the first nine months of 2022, representing nearly 104 per cent of the annual plan. Total tourism revenue was nearly VND20 trillion ($835.8 million) in the period, or 106.4 per cent of the annual target.
Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fisheries exports reached $36.3 billion in the first eight months of 2022, up 13.1 per cent over the same period of 2021 thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. If such growth can be maintained over the remainder of the year, the target of $55 billion in agricultural, forestry and fisheries exports this year is entirely feasible.
Vietnam aims to welcome 65 million tourists in 2022, including about 60 million domestic travelers. It actually served 60.8 million domestic tourists in the first half, exceeding the annual target. Tourism revenue in the period rose nearly 95 per cent year-on-year.
