Vietnamese businesses must prepare their data and infrastructure prior to deploying AI in order to optimize costs while strengthening data security and sovereignty.

The National Technology Innovation Fund will prioritise AI applications in six areas: manufacturing and processing; agriculture and agricultural processing; healthcare and pharmaceuticals; logistics and supply chains; trade, services and corporate management; and state administrative agencies.

Vietnam is currently in ASEAN's top 5 countries in terms of AI adoption, with 18% of businesses regularly applying AI, and 61% of those reporting an average revenue growth of 16%.

New division expected to enhance AI application and maximize customer benefits.
