Macro-economic fluctuations have slowed Vietnam’s real estate market but investment flows are still going to the Mekong Delta thanks to public investment policies and improved transport infrastructure. The Delta is the largest producer and exporter of food, seafood, and fruit in Vietnam.

Analysts at the Vietnam Socio-Economic Forum 2022 on September 17 said that although the country’s eight-month CPI is relatively low, fluctuations have been significant and inflationary pressure and risks are increasing. Vietnam’s M2 money supply growth and M2 / GDP ratio are quite high compared to other countries in the region.

A number of credit institutions have recently provided large consumption loans to individual customers that are actually for real estate. According to the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), this is potentially risky if there are fluctuations in the real estate market. It is therefore expected to issue new regulations to tackle lending for real estate that is disguised as other lending.
