Foreign organizations and individuals are permitted to own up to 250 separate houses in each project developed by Vinhomes in northern Hung Yen province.
The Ministry of Construction (MoC) has proposed supplementing regulations in the draft amended Law on Housing on the number of apartments that foreign organizations and individuals can own in Vietnam. Foreign organizations and individuals will only be allowed to buy, rent-purchase, receive as gifts, receive as inheritance, or own 30 per cent of the number of apartments in an apartment building, including mixed-use apartments.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh told a meeting of the Steering Committee reviewing the implementation of the Land Law and developing a project to amend the Land Law that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, and Public Security have been asked to further study regulations on granting land access to foreign organizations and individuals.
