These two urban railway lines hold significant potential, serving as vital links between the city center and the former province of Binh Duong, while completing the regional urban rail network.

The southern city aims to complete six interconnected metro lines by 2030. Among these, the link between Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Long Thanh International Airport has been identified as a top priority.

Funded by the city's public investment budget, the project has a total investment of approximately VND55.179 trillion ($2.1 billion) and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2030.
