It is necessary to mobilize more than VND120 trillion ($5.14 billion) to implement the Housing Development Program to 2030 and vision to 2050, which has recently been approved by the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee. The central province has proposed many solutions to promote socialization in commercial and urban area housing projects.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, more than 60 per cent of workers are currently renting houses and housing development for workers is proceeding slowly. In March, the government decided to support the rental costs of workers affected by Covid-19.
The Hanoi People’s Council has approved a housing development program for the 2021-2030 period, under which it needs nearly 1,900 ha of land and VND880 trillion ($37.5 billion).
Northern Thai Nguyen province has adjusted and supplemented its Housing Development Plan in 2022. It will now implement 290 housing projects and urban areas on a total area of 6,680 hectares this year, 17 communal housing projects on a total area of more than 115 hectares, and 24 projects on housing for resettlement on a total area of 250 hectares.
