Tech unicorn has filed a Registration Withdrawal Request with the SEC after submitting a registration statement last August for a possible listing on Nasdaq.
The Nova Consumer Group Joint Stock Company plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) of 10.9 million shares worth nearly VND474 billion ($20.86 million). It will then become the first company to IPO this year. The proceeds will help strengthen its financial capacity to develop its food product chain.
Vietnamese startups did not conduct any initial public offerings (IPOs) in the first half of this year. The Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB) is therefore conducting a training program on IPOs for startups in Vietnam.
Initial public offerings (IPOs) have grown strongly in both quantity and value around the world in recent times but have been few and far between in Vietnam. The situation seems likely to continue into the immediate future, as Vietnam lacks companies in popular fields such as technology and healthcare that need to raise capital from the domestic stock market.
