Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has signed a Resolution on improving the efficiency of land management and use. The land price bracket will be removed and a higher tax rate imposed on users of more than one land area, owners of more than one house, land speculators, those using land late, and those abandoning land. The resolution also specifies six groups of tasks and solutions, such as completing regulations on land allocation, land leases, and changes to land use purpose.

Southern Dong Nai province will convert over 5,600 ha of agricultural land into non-agricultural land in order to conduct projects in transportation, industrial zones, industrial clusters, and rural residential land.

The Vietnam Central Economic Commission and the Central Theoretical Council jointly organized a workshop on “Perspectives and orientations on land management and use in Vietnam in the new context”. The province has converted more than 211 ha of agricultural land into non-agricultural land since the beginning of this year.
