The Vietnam Maritime Administration has issued a plan on green energy transition, reducing carbon and methane emissions in the maritime sector to develop a green transport network towards the goal of contributing to net-zero emissions by 2050. It will mobilize various financial support from environmental funds around the world, official development assistance (ODA), and others.

A draft decree from the Ministry of Transport (MoT) on business in the maritime sector will simplify and reduce the time needed to deal with administrative procedures and enhance the application of information technology to provide Level 4 online public services, helping businesses and cutting compliance costs.
