Draft national master plan sets major targets

The draft national master plan for the 2021-2030 period sets a target of the population being 105 million by 2030 and 115 million by 2050. Average GDP growth will be 7 per cent in the 2021-2030 period and 6.5-7 per cent in 2030-2050. GDP per capita is to be $7,500 by 2030 and $27,000-$30,000 by 2050. By 2030, Vietnam will have 5,000 km of expressways and 9,000 km by 2050. The average residential floor space per capita in urban areas is to reach 32 sq m by 2030.
