Topic: Phenikaa X

After a period of testing at the Phenikaa University in Hanoi, a self-driving car has been tested on public roads in southern Binh Duong province. The project is being implemented by the Becamex Tokyu Co. in cooperation with Phenikaa-X and Nippon Koei Vietnam. Mr. Kusaka Masatoshi from the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City said the project will contribute to Binh Duong implementing its smart city model.

Vietnam has only three enterprises in the field of electric vehicle production: VinFast, Phenikaa X, and Geleximco. With the government having many priority policies to encourage the development of electric vehicles, local enterprises will have access to many opportunities but will also face challenges in terms of cost and infrastructure.
