These achievements were announced in Bac Ninh City on October 28 at the Implementation Review Conference on Smart Factory Development Cooperation Project and Smart Mold Consulting Project 2026 in northern Vietnam.
Among the sixteen participating firms, ten completed the smart factory development program, while six others participated in the smart mold advisory track.
Launched on May 7, 2026, the initiatives focused on supporting enterprises to standardize operational processes, optimize resources, enhance governance capacity, and progressively apply digital technologies to production.
Under the Smart Factory Development Cooperation Project, several companies recorded significant gains in productivity and operational quality. G8 Electronics Joint Stock Company increased stamping process productivity from 650 to 1,000 units per eight-hour shift, representing a 53.8 percent increase.
Vietnam Mechanical Forming Joint Stock Company boosted packaging productivity by 20 percent, while TCI Precision Joint Stock Company reduced pending rework inventory from 19,000 to 6,000 units, marking a 68.4 percent reduction.
Beyond physical production lines, companies integrated software and connectivity technologies into operations. Manh Toan Plastic Company Limited connected order management systems with production and work orders while using Internet of Things technology to track output, production cycles, and equipment status in real time. QR codes and warehouse management systems were also deployed to monitor inventory flow.
TCI Industrial Joint Stock Company applied a similar-drawing search tool integrated with enterprise resource planning software, reducing quote preparation time from one day to under one hour and streamlining proposal approval steps from six to three.
At TCI Precision Joint Stock Company, quality tracking boards transitioned from manual twice-daily updates to automated updates every five minutes, enabling faster defect detection.
Under the Smart Mold Advisory Project, firms standardized design, processing, and quality control procedures while digitizing progress tracking and equipment histories.
Song Hong Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company developed eight standard operating procedures in design, while Halo Mold Tech Company Limited tested equipment tracking software and built machining capacity databases across five devices.
Deputy Director General of the Industry Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade Pham Van Quan emphasized that results demonstrate enterprises can enhance production efficiency through process standardization and data application without massive initial investments.
Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh City People’s Committee, Mr. Pham Van Thinh, and Deputy General Director in charge of Samsung Vietnam’s Procurement Centre, Mr. Cha Ji Ho, noted that technical improvements and human resource development open greater opportunities for Vietnamese firms to join global supply chains.
Since 2022, the Smart Factory Development Cooperation Project has advised 96 enterprises and trained over 240 experts.
