PM asks that EU members ratify EUVIPA

While attending the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) on November 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with the President of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen. In addition to asking the EU to encourage member countries to complete the ratification of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EUVIPA), he also asked that the EU consider quickly removing its “yellow card” against Vietnam on illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU) and provide technical assistance and solutions.
