HCMC boosting cooperation with southern localities
Regional cooperation expected to help city expand development space.
Southern region leads in enterprise numbers
Figures from the General Statistics Office (GSO) show that as of December 31, 2020, the southern region was posting the fastest growth in enterprise numbers in Vietnam, with more than 280,000, or 41.1 per cent of the total. Following was the Red River Delta, the north-central coastal region, and the central coastal region.
$77mln invested in building Nhon Trach Bridge
Part of the Ring Road No. 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City, the Nhon Trach Bridge will stretch more than 2 km and have total investment of over VND1.8 trillion ($77 million). Once built, it will connect two localities in the center of the southern region - Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province.
MPI tackles bottlenecks in Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong
The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) worked with southern Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong provinces on July 12 and 13 to remove bottlenecks inhibiting their development, opening up local resources and mobilizing resources from elsewhere to reach socio-economic development goals in both provinces and the southern region as a whole.
