Speaking at the conference, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung suggested that the Authority complete 5G network coverage nationwide this year and at the same time start 6G research.

The potential growth of network operators in Vietnam’s telecommunications sector has been blunted by the fourth wave of Covid-19 that began at the end of April. There are, however, some positive signs from new services such as digital technology, digital services, and digital transformation. The proportion of these new services is, however, too small to cover declines elsewhere.
