Transport businesses seek support due to high fuel prices
Transport businesses and transport associations have called for sharp cuts to taxes, fees, and charges given that high fuel prices are pushing up freight rates. They propose that corporate income tax rates be reduced from 20 to 15 per cent, excise taxes from 10 to 5-6 per cent, and VAT for transport services from 8 to 5 per cent, among others.
