Within the framework of the official visit by Party General Secretary To Lam and his Spouse to Finland from October 20-22, the two sides issued a Joint Statement on the establishment of a Strategic Partnership.

After more than 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations, economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has continuously developed, with Vietnam becoming Finland's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia.

The agreement aims to facilitate the transparent, sustainable, and legally compliant deployment of Vietnamese experts, skilled workers, and seasonal laborers to Finland.

The relationship between Finland and Vietnam is gradually shifting from development aid and development cooperation to cooperation in investment and trade. Finland will accept Vietnamese workers in agriculture and cooperate in implementing teacher training programs between the two countries.
