A number of proposals have been made to help Vietnamese exporters make it through testing global conditions and bridge the country’s trade deficit in the second half of 2026.
The United States remained Vietnam’s largest export market with a turnover of $104.7 billion, while China was its largest source of imports, reaching $138.6 billion.
According to Vietnam Customs, this development reflects a surge in demand for production inputs while also contributing to pressure on the overall balance of payments.
