The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has approved investment in a project building a plant producing leather shoes for export on 37,000 sq m in the north-central province’s Yen Cat town in Nhu Xuan district.
It has total investment capital of nearly VND97 billion ($4 million).
The Committee also recently gave the green light to the Thuong Xuan Footwear Ltd. Co adjusting its investment in a footwear project to more than VND533 billion ($22.2 million) from the initial VND80 billion ($3.3 million).
The project was approved by the Committee in June 2022.
It has a designed capacity of 2.2 million products a year and will employ some 2,000 workers.
