North-central Thanh Hoa province attracted 13 FDI projects in the first ten months of this year with total registered capital of $187 million, a four-fold increase in capital year-on-year.

This brings the total number of effective FDI projects in the province to 150 with total capital of more than $14.6 billion.

During the ten-month period, the province also posted growth in other areas, particularly industrial production, with its Index of Industrial Production (IIP) surging 5.06 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Revenue from accommodation services totaled over VND2 trillion ($83 million), up 35.3 per cent; catering services more than VND15 trillion ($625 million), up 29.3 per cent; and travel services VND216.8 billion ($9 million).

The total value of retail sales of goods was estimated at over VND110.6 trillion ($4.6 billion), up 13.7 per cent year-on-year.
