North-central Thanh Hoa province posted GRDP growth of 7 per cent year-on-year in the first half of 2023, figures from the city’s People’s Committee show.
With this growth, the province ranked 18th among 63 localities nationwide.
The industry and construction sector increased 8.55 per cent during the period, services 8.1 per cent, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries 3.87 per cent.
Total revenue from retail sales of products and services reached over VND89.9 trillion ($3.79 billion), a year-on-year increase of 14.1 per cent.
The province earned export revenue of $2.4 billion, down 9.7 per cent year-on-year. Local enterprises exported 55 types of commodities to 68 countries and territories.
Regarding investment, the province attracted 33 projects, including nine FDI projects, with total registered capital of nearly $511 million.
The tourism sector also recorded positive growth with revenue of over VND15 trillion ($632 million) during the six-month period, a year-on-year increase of 16.7 per cent.
