The Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has asked the provincial Department of Taxation to introduce measures to tighten tax management and prevent budget losses.

Focus in the north-central province will be on sectors considered sensitive and with high risks relating to tax collections, such as mining, land, trade, real estate, the environment, transport, e-commerce, household businesses, and the non-State sector.

The committee requested that relevant departments and agencies continue improving administrative procedures towards modernization and proactively support and tackle difficulties and obstacles facing businesses and taxpayers.

The tax department was also instructed to coordinate with relevant agencies to take comprehensive measures to manage taxes and collect tax debts and to support taxpayers in using e-invoices.

It was assigned to build plans and prepare the conditions needed for retail businesses in the province to roll out e-invoices generated from cash registers on a trial basis.

The province collected tax revenue of nearly VND4.5 trillion ($190 million) in January and February.
