The Mekong Delta’s Tra Vinh province plans to develop four industrial parks (IPs) under its master planning in the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2050, which has been approved by the government.
It also targets having eight industrial clusters by 2030.
The province will focus on promoting infrastructure for IPs and investment in IPs with priority given to environmentally-friendly projects with high technology.
Under its planning, Tra Vinh strives to become one of the top localities in the Mekong Delta in terms of economic development, with a transport network connecting the region and the rest of the country.
By 2050, the province targets becoming a modern sea-based economic hub and a green energy center of the region.
Regarding economic development, it will give priority to the development of such sectors as renewable energy, agriculture and fisheries processing, shipping, tourism, seaports, and logistics services.
