Traditional craft villages up against it

At the “Improving online business skills for rural industrial establishments in craft villages” seminar held on August 26, Dr. Ton Gia Hoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Craft Villages, acknowledged that craft villages face fierce competition from a flood of imports and the departure of many experienced artisans. E-commerce is viewed as a necessary step, but is not focused on development. Village artisans are also concerned about copyright infringements.
