Vũ Khuê -

The fair also attracts international booths from countries such as Peru, Laos, and Cambodia, as well as business-matching booths from various trade units.

The "OCOP Export Products Fair" (VIETNAM OCOPEX 2025) officially opened on August 1 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

This is a national-level trade promotion program hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Hanoi People's Committee, and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

VIETNAM OCOPEX 2025 is a large-scale event featuring 300 booths from over 200 exhibitors, showcasing thousands of OCOP-certified items from 34 provinces and cities across the country.

Products on display include tea, coffee, cashews, artisanal handicrafts, medicinal herbs, agarwood, essential oils, turmeric starch, various agricultural and processed food products, bird's nests, and beauty products such as shampoo, conditioner, and serum.

Notably, the fair also attracts international booths from countries such as Peru, Laos, and Cambodia, as well as business-matching booths from various trade units.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, stated that with its advantages and diverse potential in natural resources, climate, and unique culture, Vietnam is not only successful in exporting its key agricultural products but is also a nation with many specialty products, local produce, and traditional craft villages that carry indigenous cultural values, most clearly represented by Vietnam's OCOP products.

In recent years, the Vietnamese business community has increasingly focused on developing products according to OCOP standards. This has had a positive impact on rural economic development, contributing to the shift from small-scale agricultural production to production along value chains, meeting standards and regulations, with traceability, and aligned with market demand.

At the same time, this has awakened the potential of the land, local specialties, comparative advantages, and especially regional cultural values to form integrated OCOP products. Many OCOP products are being innovated and creatively developed to enhance their quality and access export markets, targeting even demanding, high-value markets.
