Transport companies asked to publish ticket prices for holidays

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has asked transport businesses to publish fares and ticket prices for the upcoming Liberation Day and May Day holidays to prevent unreasonable price hikes.

They were also instructed to prepare appropriate transportation plans to ensure the transport of cargo and passengers in line with regulations.

The MoT has required that inspectors coordinate with transport departments in localities to inspect and examine the operations of vehicles to prevent overloaded buses or buses picking up passengers at incorrect locations as well as the use of illegal buses and terminals. Violators will be strictly punished.

Operators of toll stations have been ordered to build plans to ensure order and prevent congestion amid an increase in vehicle numbers during the holidays.

The MoT has requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam increase flights to meet rising demand during the holidays and to take measures to ensure aviation security and safety.

The holidays will last from April 29 to May 3.
