Representatives from eleven high-tech enterprises in the UK have paid a visit to Vietnam to seek investment and business opportunities.
The enterprises operate in the fields of AI, cyber security, financial technology, medical technology, education technology, and e-commerce.
They include Albeego, North Star Projects, Pagoda Project, Ucargo Pacific Logistics, Expo Stars Interactive, Salford School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology, Precision21 Limited, and Wootzano.
At a meeting with Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung in Hanoi on July 3, these businesses shared their investment plans and orientations for the future, focusing on the digital economy, digital transformation, education, logistics, and e-commerce.
They expressed interest in expanding investment and cooperation with Vietnamese partners in promoting digital transformation and the digital economy.
Mr. Dung said the ministry encouraged the UK businesses to cooperate, share experience, and provide consultancy to Vietnamese enterprises, particularly in policies and regulations relating to data management and the protection of personal data.
He suggested the two sides enhance cooperation in technology human resources training and developing digital products and services.
Vietnam has over 70,000 digital businesses with more than 1.4 million digital workers.
