VCCI initiates 2025 Private Economic Report
A ceremony was held on September 11 to initiate the 2025 Private Economic Report.

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on September 11 officially initiated the 2025 Private Economic Report, which will offer comprehensive insights into the current situation, opportunities, and challenges of the private sector which is considered as a key driver of the national economy.

The report will combine statistical data analysis with reflecting opinions from businesses in terms of accessing resources, processing administrative procedures, digital transformation, and sustainable development. Basing on that, the report will provide practical policy recommendations to improve the quality of local economic governance, enhance provincial competitiveness, and foster innovation and private-sector development.

A highlight of this year’s edition is the application of the upgraded Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2.0 methodology. Building on two decades of PCI implementation, PCI 2.0 incorporates new growth drivers such as digital transformation, innovation, green economic development, and improved governance quality.

According to the VCCI, PCI 2.0 will serve as a stronger tool for provincial and municipal authorities to improve the business environment, particularly in the context of administrative restructuring, while aligning with the Government’s strategic directives on economic development, science and technology, innovation, and international integration.
