Vietnam Airlines has achieved an impressive 6th place among the top 10 airlines with the highest on-time performance in the Asia-Pacific for 2024,  according to a recent announcement by aviation data analysis company Cirium, a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA),

The airline achieved an on-time flight rate of 76.7%, a significant improvement of three places from its 9th ranking in 2023.

Cirium's report ranks airlines based on On-Time Arrival Performance, defined as flights that land and taxi to their parking positions within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival times.

To compile this report, experts analyzed data from 600 different real-time flight sources, ensuring accuracy and objectivity. This comprehensive data is sourced from civil aviation authorities, airports, aviation service providers, and published flight schedules.

Domestically, Vietnam Airlines has also excelled, achieving the highest on-time performance rate in the country for 2024. According to a report from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, the airline's on-time rate stands at approximately 82%, significantly higher than the national average of 73.7% for the entire Vietnamese aviation industry.
