The Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) and Amazon officially launched a programme on October 19 to help young entrepreneurs expand into international markets through e-commerce, equipping them with digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI) applications and knowledge of cross-border online trade.
The programme targets businesses with promising products that have established domestic online sales and are seeking to expand their operations globally.
The initiative comes as the Vietnamese Government steps up efforts to strengthen the presence of domestic businesses in international markets, since the Vietnam GoGlobal Programme for 2026–2030 has been approved under Prime Ministerial Decision No. 626/QD-TTg, dated April 6, 2026.
The government programme aims to provide comprehensive, in-depth support by 2030 to at least 100 businesses operating effectively on domestic and international cross-border e-commerce platforms.
The VECOM–Amazon initiative is designed to translate these broader policy objectives into practical support for businesses seeking overseas growth.
It will focus on leveraging the economic strengths and distinctive products of different localities while providing entrepreneurs with comprehensive knowledge of international market research, product development, logistics optimization and payment solutions.
The programme will also promote the application of AI to improve productivity and business efficiency, helping participating companies strengthen their competitiveness as they enter overseas markets.
By combining digital capabilities with practical cross-border e-commerce knowledge, the initiative aims to help Vietnamese businesses turn promising domestic products into offerings for international consumers.
