The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, in cooperation with the Hanoi Press and Broadcasting Agency, TikTok Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. (TikTok Shop) and relevant agencies, launched the “Digital Store – Empowering Hanoi Merchants” program on October 6, alongside the official launch of the “OCOP HA NOI” TikTok channel.

The program aims to translate national and municipal policies on digital transformation, the digital economy and e-commerce into practical initiatives, while implementing Hanoi’s plans for developing digital commerce.

The “OCOP HA NOI” channel, which provides information related to "one commune one product" (OCOP) products produced and traded in the capital city, will serve as a digital content and commercial connection hub, promoting OCOP-certified products, traditional craft products, artisans, producers, businesses and Hanoi-based sellers through short videos, product stories, real-life experiences, livestreams and collaborations with content creators. Consumers will be directed from the channel to eligible sellers’ individual online shops.

The Department of Industry and Trade stressed that “OCOP HA NOI” is not a government-run online shop. State agencies will not directly sell products, process orders or receive payments. Individual sellers will operate their own shops and remain responsible for products, prices, inventories, orders, delivery and customer service.

The program will support businesses, cooperatives, household enterprises and OCOP producers in strengthening their digital presence, improving e-commerce capabilities and expanding market access. Participants will receive guidance on product information, online-store operations, video production, livestreaming, affiliate marketing and collaboration with creators and key opinion consumers.

The program also places emphasis on product quality, traceability and transparency. Participating products must meet circulation requirements, have clear origins and comply with relevant regulations, while sellers remain responsible for their products, information and transactions.
