Vietnam has significant potential to become one of Southeast Asia’s leading e-commerce export hubs, industry leaders said at the 2026 E-Commerce Export Conference held in Hanoi on June 2.
Organized by Amazon Global Selling Vietnam, the event reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Vietnamese businesses in strengthening the country’s position as a regional powerhouse in cross-border e-commerce.
Mr. Larry Hu, Managing Director of Amazon Global Selling Southeast Asia, said Vietnam’s future export growth would depend not only on production capacity but also on businesses’ ability to develop differentiated products, build trusted global brands and compete sustainably in international markets.
According to him, through seller education programs, streamlined operations and AI-powered tools, Amazon is committed to helping Vietnamese businesses scale globally and contribute to Vietnam’s ambition of becoming one of the region’s leading e-commerce export centers.
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) attending the conference described e-commerce exports as a new growth engine for Vietnam’s digital economy. They noted that the country’s strong manufacturing base, improving logistics infrastructure and rapidly expanding digital commerce ecosystem provide a solid foundation for future growth.
Industry participants expressed confidence that these advantages will help Vietnam emerge as one of Southeast Asia’s foremost centers for cross-border e-commerce exports in the years ahead.
