Some 250 businesses from Vietnam and 25 countries and territories are showcasing products at the International Exhibition on Food and Beverage Products, Machinery, Equipment & Technology (Vietnam Foodtech), which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on December 13, the Hanoi Moi (New Hanoi) online newspaper has reported.
Foreign businesses are primarily from the Czech Republic, South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The four-day expo features over 300 booths introducing food and beverage products, labeling equipment, barcode and product traceability systems, sanitation and sterilization systems, and bottling machines for food and liquid beverages.
The expo will also see various technology demonstrations, business networking, and trade promotion activities to help businesses explore cooperative opportunities, seek partners, and apply scientific and technological advancements to improve productivity and product quality.
In particular, the expo will serve as a foundation to promote links between people and technology, particularly AI, in the food industry.
Seminars, forums, workshops, business-to-business (B2B) networking, and business matching programs will also be held on the sidelines of the expo.
