The Ministry of Industry and Trade launched the Vietnam Grand Sale 2023 campaign on December 4, with the aim of stimulating consumption, boosting production and trade, developing the domestic market, and promoting the building of brands for Vietnamese products.
The program will run until January 10 around Vietnam.
Addressing the launch, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said the initiative is expected to help boost the total retail sales of goods and services in the closing month of the year and contribute to maintaining economic growth.
Figures from the General Statistics Office show that total retail sales of goods and services in November stood at VND552.7 trillion ($21.7 billion), up 1.4 per cent compared to October and 10.1 per cent year-on-year.
There were also 14,267 enterprises established during the month, a year-on-year rise of 19.5 per cent. Total export and import revenue was estimated at $60.88 billion, up 5.9 per cent year-on-year.
