More than 500 businesses from 16 countries and territories are taking part in the Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2023), which opened in Hanoi on April 5.

Products showcased at the fair include electronics, machinery, and those from supporting industries, digital technology-ecommerce, and the food industry.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said the annual fair will help Vietnamese businesses promote their exports, develop the domestic market, and improve their capacity to join global value chains.

Foreign businesses at the fair will also be able to visit localities to work directly with local authorities and industrial parks to seek information on investment policies and incentives.

The fair will close on April 8.
