Vietnam SuperPort™, a joint venture between YCH Group (Singapore) and T&T Group (Vietnam), has unveiled a series of AI-powered digital solutions at the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2025 (VIIE 2025). These initiatives are designed to improve logistics operations, strengthen connectivity, support digital transformation, and advance sustainability.

At the event, General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and other senior leaders visited the Vietnam SuperPort™ booth, where they were introduced to the company’s ongoing digital transformation projects in logistics and trade connectivity.

One of the highlights is the application of next-generation AI at the Off-Airport Cargo Terminal (OACT) to increase efficiency and security in cargo handling. In collaboration with Google and Kyndryl, and with support from the Singapore Government, Vietnam SuperPort™ has developed an AI-based document authentication system that automates verification of cargo documents. AI will also be applied in security scanners to detect prohibited or dangerous goods, reducing manual inspections while maintaining compliance with international standards.

Another initiative is the development of a logistics marketplace platform led by Vietnam SuperPort™, with support from Vietnam Post Logistics and global fintech partners including Techcombank, Visa, and Singapore-based Doxa. The platform is designed as a one-stop ecosystem for small and medium enterprises, providing end-to-end digital services from order placement to payment. It integrates order tracking, bonded warehouse connections, transport scheduling, and financial services, aiming to simplify customs and trade processes, improve cash flow, and help Vietnamese businesses expand into international markets.

In the area of automation, Vietnam SuperPort™ is working with Singapore”s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) to introduce robotics at the OACT. The deployment of Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic loaders, and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) is expected to increase productivity and improve efficiency in cargo operations.

Sustainability is another priority. Vietnam SuperPort™ has set a target of becoming Southeast Asia’s first net-zero multimodal logistics hub by 2040. The company is developing a carbon auditing process using blockchain and AI to measure and reduce emissions, in line with Vietnam’s Green Growth Strategy.

Beyond infrastructure and technology, Vietnam SuperPort™ is also investing in human capital. In partnership with the Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA) in Singapore, the company plans to train 500 Vietnamese logistics professionals in digital and supply chain management skills to strengthen the country’s workforce and competitiveness.

Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, said: “With a vision to build the region’s most modern and sustainable logistics hub, Vietnam SuperPort™ is introducing advanced AI-powered digital solutions that extend beyond traditional infrastructure. Our focus is on enabling smart, connected, and sustainable logistics - empowering businesses, strengthening Vietnam’s role in global supply chains, and supporting greener trade and regional integration.”

Covering 83 hectares in Phu Tho Province, Vietnam SuperPort™ is a multimodal logistics hub jointly developed by YCH Group, Singapore’s leading supply chain solutions provider with nearly 70 years of experience, and T&T Group, one of Vietnam’s largest multi-sector conglomerates. The project is designed to lower logistics costs, enhance Vietnam’s integration into global supply chains, and advance sustainable development through clean energy and advanced technologies.
