Some 80 direct trade exchanges are taking place in Hanoi on October 17 between businesses from Vietnam and those from South Korea’s Daegu city and Gyeongbuk province, the Voice of Vietnam reports.
Organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the annual event offers South Korean firms the opportunity to meet directly with Vietnamese importers.
Fifteen South Korean exporters at the “2023 Daegu - Gyeongbuk Vietnam Trade Mission” will introduce high-quality products exported to many other countries around the world, including cosmetics, food, functional foods, beverages, household appliances, and LED equipment.
Daegu is South Korea’s fourth-largest city and thanks to its favorable climate the local fruit industry plays a vital role in its economy. Its leading enterprises in cosmetics, health, and consumer goods have been boosting their business overseas, especially in Vietnam, which they consider to hold potential.
Located in the east of South Korea, Gyeongbuk is not only renowned for its tourism industry but also for its potential in economic development, with leading exporters. Six companies from Gyeongbuk will showcase food, functional foods, and beverages.
