Vietnam's GDP growth in the first half of the year reached 7.52%, a record high in the 2011-2025 period, the National Statistics Office reported on July 5.
The economic expansion in the second quarter was 7.96%, the second highest in the five-year period as it is only lower than the 8.56% recorded in the second quarter of 2022.
The economic growth in the six-month period was mainly driven by the services, and industrial and construction sectors.
Services enjoyed a growth of 8.14%, contributing over 52.2% to the added value of the economy.
The industrial and construction sector displayed robust performance, with a growth of 8.33% in the period, contributing 42.2% to the added value of the economy. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry continued to be the core growth driver with a growth rate of 10.11%; while the construction sector rose 9.62%.
