Northern Vinh Phuc province has set a target of posting average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth of 10.5-11 per cent in 2021-2030 under the provincial master plan for the period with a vision to 2050.

Annual workplace productivity growth is expected at 13 per cent.

The province held a ceremony on March 5 to make public the master plan.

It will promote industrial production to create breakthroughs in boosting productivity, focusing on electronic products, supporting industry, food processing, tourism, and logistics services.

The province will develop three economic corridors and three growth poles.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said the province is set to play a pivotal role as one of the key drivers of modern industrial development in the Red River Delta region. It will stand as one of three growth poles alongside Hanoi in the Capital Region. Its strategic planning is to unlock new opportunities and development spaces.
