The Party Central Committee’s Secretariat has requested that State budget priority be given to promoting vocational training, especially training of high-quality human resources for key industries, to meet industrialization and modernization needs.
This is one of the targets and tasks set by a Secretariat directive on continuing to renew, develop, and improve the quality of vocational training by 2030 with a vision towards 2045.
By 2030, Vietnam targets retraining 50 per cent of its workforce and having 90 high-quality vocational training centers, with some meeting ASEAN-4 (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand) and G20 standards, according to the directive.
The directive also set a target of Vietnam meeting the demand of developed countries for skilled human resources by 2045.
