A working group for energy security amid complex developments stemming from tensions in the Middle East has been set up under a decision by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The working group is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, with Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung serving as permanent deputy head.
The group will regularly monitor, assess and forecast developments in the Middle East while addressing difficulties and obstacles to ensure an adequate supply of petroleum for production, business activities and daily consumption.
It will also study and propose effective policy responses to the Prime Minister for national energy security.
