Businesses from Vietnam’s northern Lao Cai province and Thailand discussed potential cooperation in many important fields at a workshop held in Lao Cai on August 28.
The Connecting Lao Cai – Thailand workshop, attracting over 100 participants, was organized within the framework of the second “Connect Thailand” summit co-hosted in Lao Cai on August 28-29 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai Embassy in Vietnam.
Lai Cai plays an important role in the road transport route between Vietnam and Thailand. The workshop offered an opportunity to boost cooperation between the two sides in the fields of logistics and international trade, according to H. E. Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Thai Ambassador to Vietnam.
This time is considered ideal for Thai enterprises to study and expand investment and cooperation with Lao Cai partners, she said.
Lao Cai has always created favorable conditions for Thai businesses, she said, expressing her belief that many Thai firms will choose to invest in a potential locality like Lao Cai in the future.
Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said Lao Cai always welcomes investors and commits to accompany investors. The province will create best conditions to realize investors’ development plans and goals.
