More than 125,900 newly established enterprises registered in the first seven months of 2026, up 16.9% year-on-year, according to the National Statistics Office.

The total registered capital of newly established businesses reached over VND1.51 quadrillion (approximately $58 billion), marking a sharp 63.6% increase from the same period last year.

As a result, the average registered capital per new enterprise rose to VND12.1 billion, nearly 40% higher than the 2025 level.

Including additional capital injected by existing businesses, the total amount of capital flowing into the economy during the January–July period reached approximately VND3.6 quadrillion, up 7.3% year-on-year.

On average, around 26,700 enterprises entered or re-entered the market each month since early this year, reflecting continued business dynamism despite economic uncertainties.

However, the report also highlighted a sharp increase in business closures. Nearly 31,200 enterprises completed dissolution procedures during the seven-month period, up 118.7% from a year earlier, underscoring the ongoing challenges facing parts of the business community even as entrepreneurial activity and investment continued to strengthen.
